The “Made for You” tags are a particular highlight, providing customizable backgrounds that transform boring data into a social-media-ready post.
Spotify Wrapped launches once a year and can’t be accessed or updated before that. However, Wrapped playlists remain available after launch and are easily comparable across platforms. Overall, Spotify Wrapped works best if you want something fun, visual, and instantly shareable. However, it’s less useful if you want to keep tabs on your habits throughout the year.
What is Apple Music Replay?

Unlike Spotify Wrapped, Apple Music Replay gives you year-round access to your listening data with a clean, reliable stats hub. While Apple now adds an annual “Replay highlight reel,” Replay has always prioritized transparency and accuracy over flashy presentation. In my testing, I’ve always appreciated that Replay updates weekly from January through December.
Another keen addition is that Replay offers a web-based stats dashboard that updates continuously. This means you aren’t limited to only using your phone to receive insights on your top songs, artists, and albums throughout the year. Apple also generates a new Replay playlist every week, not only in December. However, starting with iOS 26, the Replay experience is fully native in the Apple Music app.

None of this is to say that Apple Music skimps out on social media shareability. For example, listeners receive a more visual, Wrapped-style recap near the end of every year. In particular, the Highlight Reel provides images and a video designed specifically for sharing on social media platforms like Instagram and TikTok. There are also new tools for “Discovery,” “Loyalty,” and “Comebacks.”
“Discovery” analyzes new artists you’ve discovered throughout the year, “Loyalty” tallies artists you’ve kept coming back to over multiple years, and “Comebacks” displays artists who have returned to your rotation. Overall, Apple Music Replay is ideal if you want steady insight into your listening rather than a one-time celebration.
How do Spotify Wrapped and Apple Music Replay differ in features?

The biggest difference is that Wrapped is a once-a-year spectacle, while Replay functions as a year-round analytics tool. Wrapped is designed to be fun; Replay is made to be consistent. When I compared both this year, Spotify felt more creative, while Apple Music surfaced more granular data.
