The wires are very stiff and don't come with a clip to take the pressure off your ears like the old ones. Lasted one week before the left speaker started making ocean noise constantly
Comfort · better than expected
Cable in daily use · worse than expected

Solid lines: passive isolation (dB) with ANC off — how much ambient noise the fit blocks on its own. Dashed lines: total attenuation (dB) with ANC on — passive isolation plus active noise cancelling. Higher on the chart means more attenuation.

Bose Noise Cancelling Wired Earbuds: noise cancelling, as measured in the SoundGuys lab. Frequency in hertz.
Virtual mean opinion scores (MOS) on a 1–5 scale, modeled from the measured response by HEAD acoustics’ MDAQS (Multi-Dimensional Audio Quality Score) model. Higher is better across timbre, distortion, and immersiveness — add other models to see where this one lands.

The verdict
The Bose Noise Cancelling Wired Earbuds offer good sound quality, decent ANC, and the convenience of never needing to charge your earbuds. But for $99, the non-replaceable cable, mediocre microphone, and limited features are worth considering. I wouldn't replace my everyday wireless earbuds with these, but as a backup pair for work or travel? Sure, they're worth a look.
✓Liked: Decent ANC, Good sound quality, No charging required, Physical controls
✕Could be better: Frequency response changes with ANC off, Some cable noise, Mic quality, Non-replaceable cable

Owner reviews are not paid for, not solicited from specific owners, and not rewritten by us: at most we proofread typos, which is shown on the review’s own page and which the author can undo. The commission SoundGuys may earn on this page comes from retail links, never from owner reviews.
