These $60 headphones offer Bluetooth 6 and and dual-jack wired playback

- OneOdio has launched an upgraded version of its Fusion A70 headphones.
- The Fusion A70 Gen 2 offer both wired and wireless playback.
- Along with the standard 3.5mm headphone jack, the headphones offer a 6.35mm input jack.
OneOdio is a brand known for some high-grade yet budget-friendly headphones. After launching the first pair of Bluetooth 6.0 headphones last year and then adding the A1 Pro to its Focus range earlier this year, OneOdio has another attractive offering in line.
OneOdio has just released the second-generation Fusion A70 headphones, which offer the flexibility of playing wirelessly or over a wired connection. While the new headphones look similar to the first-gen A70, subtle differences enhance continued use. The earcups retain the same oblong shape as the previous version, but OneOdio claims they now offer better comfort.
The 40mm dynamic drivers seem unchanged from the last generation, but OneOdio says the acoustic chambers expand the soundstage. Their claimed 20Hz–40kHz frequency response and 32 ohms of impedance also remain unchanged. You can also tune the audio further using the companion app.

The A70 Gen 2 offer wired output via two ports — a standard 3.5mm headphone jack and a 6.35mm (1/4-inch) jack, both placed on either earcup. The brand also offers a 3.5mm-to-6.35mm cable with the headphones, letting users plug them into turntables, audio mixers, amplifiers, or other electro-acoustic instruments. However, without a built-in amplifier, signals from purely electric instruments, such as an electric guitar, may sound too dull or weak.
The 3.5mm headphone jack also has a twist-and-lock mechanism, which the brand says prevents the cable from disconnecting if it gets pulled or yanked. The cable also lets users share audio between two A70 Gen 2 units, as they could with the first-gen.
For wireless playback, the Fusion A70 Gen 2 relies on Bluetooth 6.0 — a big upgrade over the last version’s v5.2. In addition, the headphones support LDAC for wireless Hi-Res playback (your phone, or other device, must support it in the first place).

In terms of battery, the headphones retain the same 650mAh battery, but now charge via the new USB-C port rather than Micro USB. Claims about the playback time, however, remain unchanged.
All of these minor tweaks combined come with a slight price hike, with the OneOdio Fusion A70 Gen 2 now priced at $60, and are available on Amazon as well as OneOdio’s own website.
