Spotify makes it easier to import playlists from other platforms
Dec 1, 2025 — 6:49 AM ET

- Spotify has announced in-app Tune My Music integration.
- This allows users to import playlists directly into Spotify without leaving the app.
- The feature is available on mobile and continues to roll out globally.
Streaming services remain the driving force behind U.S. recorded music revenue, responsible for 84% of the market in Q1 of 2025. Three dominant companies — Spotify, Apple Music, and Amazon Music — account for over 90% of the U.S. market share. However, smaller rivals, such as Tidal, Qobuz, and Deezer, continue to see steadily increasing market interest.
With differing prices, subscription tiers, and features, it’s important to be able to move your music around. Today, you can import playlists to Spotify seamlessly with direct Tune My Music integration within the Spotify mobile app. This follows similar moves by Apple Music and YouTube Music earlier this year.

Previously, listeners who wanted to transfer playlists to Spotify had to rely on third-party websites or apps. Some popular services include Soundiiz, FreeYourMusic, SongShift, and Tune My Music. However, the process often leads to incomplete song matches, metadata misalignment, missing track information, and more. Spotify’s new feature mitigates many of these frustrations and supports transfers from Amazon Music, Apple Music, Deezer, Pandora, SoundCloud, Tidal, YouTube Music, and others. It’s also cheaper than subscribing separately to Tune My Music for unlimited transfers, while the free online version is limited to just 500 track transfers.
Spotify’s new integration launched in November 2025 and continues to roll out globally. To use it, head to Your Library in the Spotify mobile app and scroll to the bottom. There, tap “Import your music” and follow the prompts to connect with TuneMyMusic. Choose the platform you’d like to transfer from, and your playlists will begin to appear in Spotify.
