For a long time, the EarFun Air Pro 4 were our favorite wireless earbuds under $100. Finally, their successor, the EarFun Air Pro 4+, has arrived. Are these the new best bang for your buck earbuds on the market? Let’s find out in this SoundGuys EarFun Air Pro 4+ review.

The EarFun Air Pro 4+ are for those seeking advanced earbud features at half the price of flagship options.

About this EarFun Air Pro 4+ review: We tested the EarFun Air Pro 4+ over a period of two weeks. The company provided the unit for this review. This review was expedited as part of a paid collaboration with EarFun. We retained full editorial independence — the brand did not preview or approve this article, and all opinions are our own.

This article was published on November 7, 2025, and this is the first version of the article. Updates will follow as the market changes.

What’s it like to use the EarFun Air Pro 4+?

You get 4 additional ear tip sizes and a USB-C charging cable in the box.

The EarFun Air Pro 4+ have a new design that feels more elegant than its predecessor. The charging case flips open to reveal the earbuds sitting upright in the case, while an LED light on the bottom of the case indicates pairing and battery status. On the other hand, the earbuds themselves retain the same design as before, which I am not complaining about. I find the earbuds are very lightweight (5g each, according to my scale) and comfortable to wear for hours on end. They are also IP55 dust and water-resistant, which means they can handle sweat and rain just fine.

Chase Bernath / SoundGuys
The touch controls work well, though they require a tap rather than a pinch.

Tap controls on the earbuds make it easy to adjust playback and switch between listening modes on the fly. While the small indent on the exterior of the earbuds identifies where to tap, I do wish the earbuds had pinch controls on the stems, like those of the AirPods Pro 3. That said, since the tap controls are fully customizable from within the companion app, I have no major gripes here.

What are the best features of the EarFun Air Pro 4+?

The EarFun Air Pro 4+ have a comprehensive set of features baked into the EarFun Audio companion app. You can adjust the ANC modes to your liking, enable a low-latency game mode, and dive into the custom equalizer or explore EQ presets to find a sound quality you like. If you aren’t sure what EQ settings you like, you can try out the My Sound Profile feature, which walks you through a listening test to build an ideal EQ profile for you.

Other features of the app include control customization, Bluetooth Multipoint and Auracast device management, volume limiter, and a Find Headphones feature to play a loud noise out of a missing earbud. Overall, the EarFun Air Pro 4+ have every feature I’d expect to see in modern wireless earbuds.

How do the EarFun Air Pro 4+ connect?

A hand holds the EarFun Air Pro 4+ earbuds.
Chase Bernath / SoundGuys
These earbuds are packed with the latest connectivity tech.

With Bluetooth 6.0 and support for aptX Lossless, LDAC, and Auracast, the EarFun Air Pro 4+ have the latest and greatest connectivity technology. Many flagship earbuds that cost double the price don’t have this set of Bluetooth features, and it means the EarFun Air Pro 4+ are a step ahead of the competition both now and in the future, when features like Auracast become more readily available in public spaces. I didn’t encounter any connection issues when testing the earbuds with a variety of devices.

To pair and connect the EarFun Air Pro 4+ to any device, follow these steps:

  1. Ensure the earbuds and case are charged.
  2. Place the earbuds in the charging case and open the lid.
  3. Press and hold the button on the bottom of the charging case for a few seconds. Once the LED on the case flashes blue, the earbuds are in pairing mode.

How long do the EarFun Air Pro 4+’s battery last?

Chase Bernath / SoundGuys
Charge up the case via USB-C or wireless charging.

In our standardized battery testing, the EarFun Air Pro 4+ earbuds lasted 6 hours and 17 minutes on a single charge with ANC enabled. EarFun rates the earbuds to last up to 12 hours on a single charge, and up to 54 hours of total battery life with the case, though your mileage will vary depending on which features you have enabled and how loud you are listening. With fast charging, 10 minutes of charging can get you an additional 3 hours of playback time.

How well do the EarFun Air Pro 4+ cancel noise?

Loading chart ...

The EarFun Air Pro 4+ have active noise canceling that does a good job of blocking out noise, though these earbuds are not best in class at this task. Our testing shows that the EarFun Air Pro 4+ reduce the loudness of external noise by an average of 63% without ANC enabled, and 80% with ANC enabled. This is about average for modern wireless earbuds.

There are a lot of different ANC modes you can try out with these earbuds. AI Ear Adaptive ANC detects in-ear noise and wear status to adjust the ANC in real-time. On the other hand, the AI Environment Adaptive ANC mode uses external microphones to detect ambient noise and adjust the ANC accordingly. There’s also a Wind Noise Cancelling mode, ideal for runners and bikers. If you’d like to manually adjust the ANC strength, there is a slider that lets you do that.

On the other hand, if you’d like to stay aware of your surroundings, the EarFun Air Pro 4+ has two Ambient Sound modes: Default and Natural. They sound similar to my ears, with the Natural mode letting through slightly less high-frequency noise. Neither of these modes amplify environmental noise to sound as loud as when I’m not wearing the earbuds at all, but they are good enough for staying aware while outdoors or having a quick conversation.

How do the EarFun Air Pro 4+ sound?

The EarFun Air Pro 4+ have great sound quality. The earbuds use a dual-driver system that pairs a 10mm dynamic driver with an ultra-compact BA driver to improve treble clarity. Our measurements show that the overall sound signature hasn’t changed much from the EarFun Air Pro 4, though I find the additional Balanced Armature provides improved detail.

Objective Measurements

  • Loading chart ...

  • Loading chart ...

The default sound of the EarFun Air Pro 4+ matches up closely with our industry-validated SoundGuys Headphone Preference Curve. The only notable deviations are in the treble, with a slight boost at 7kHz, followed by a dip at 10kHz, and then another boost above that. I enjoy the way that the added treble brings out brilliance in my favorite tracks, but if you don’t enjoy it, you may want to try the treble reducer EQ preset.

The EarFun Air Pro 4+ come with a lot of EQ presets. Below, we’ve shown our test measurements from a few of the EQ presets so you can see how they impact the sound quality.
