Audio-Technica launches ATH-SQ1TW2NC noise canceling earbuds

Audio-Technica has introduced the ATH-SQ1TW2NC, a new pair of compact ANC wireless earbuds. The ATH-SQ1TW2NC stand out with a fashionable, small, and square-shaped design. Each earbud weighs just 4 grams, making them light enough for extended listening sessions. They’re available in six colors, including black, café latte, forest green, gray, pink, and white camel.

Inside, the earbuds use 5.8mm dynamic drivers with a stated frequency range of 20Hz–20kHz. They support the SBC and AAC codecs over Bluetooth 5.2, although there is no confirmation of Multipoint connectivity. Audio-Technica says users can switch between 16-, 32-, or 64-step volume adjustment, which may appeal to listeners who prefer finer control. For example, this can be particularly handy when listening to spoken-word or ASMR content.

The earbuds include ANC with both pass-through and talk-through modes, allowing you to hear your surroundings without removing the buds. MEMS microphones handle calls and noise cancellation with a listed frequency response of 20Hz–10kHz. Meanwhile, downloading the companion app allows users to play soothing nature sounds, such as ocean waves, and set a timer for focused listening sessions. The ATH-SQ1TW2NC carry an IPX5 rating for water resistance and feature adjustable touch controls.

Audio-Technica rates the earbuds for up to 6 hours of playback with ANC enabled. Similarly, the charging case extends total listening time to 18 hours, and a full recharge of the case takes approximately 2.5 hours. Audio-Technica has launched the ATH-SQ1TW2NC in Japan at ¥12,980 (around $85). Pre-orders are now live, with shipping scheduled to begin February 27, 2026. Unfortunately, the company has not yet announced global availability.
