- Products arrive May 18, 2025, amid heightened excitement around the Nintendo Switch 2.
Turtle Beach is releasing a wave of colorful new headsets and controllers for Nintendo Switch this spring, including officially licensed versions of its Recon 70 and Airlite Fit headsets and two glow-in-the-dark Mario-themed Rematch wireless controllers. The refreshed lineup is set to launch globally on May 18, 2025, just a month before the Nintendo Switch 2‘s release. If you were lucky enough to snag a preorder before they sold out in minutes, they could be a fun aesthetic match for your new console.
The updated Recon 70 headset ($38.49), already a budget-friendly favorite, now comes in white and is adorned with orange Nintendo Switch logos. Similarly, the Airlite Fit ($27.99)—previously sold under the PDP brand—gets a Turtle Beach rebrand in a new colorway that looks sleek, as if you’re wearing a pair of Joy-Cons on your ears. Both headsets feature lightweight builds, 40mm drivers, flip-to-mute mics, and 3.5mm jacks for full compatibility with all Switch models.

Turtle Beach also targets younger and nostalgia-prone audiences with Rematch Invincible Mario and Rematch Super Mario Star wireless controllers for $59.99. These glow-in-the-dark models have built-in motion controls and up to 40 hours of battery life. The company’s broader spring lineup also includes new Xbox controllers, including the Afterglow Wave and Rematch Core series.
Originally part of PDP’s accessory portfolio, both the Airlite and Afterglow lines are being folded into Turtle Beach’s ecosystem following the company’s acquisition of PDP’s gaming accessories division in 2024. That deal has allowed Turtle Beach to expand its licensed portfolio across console platforms.
All accessories are available for pre-order now, just in time for the Switch 2’s big debut.
