SOUNDPEATS Aura Nebula Purple

Soundpeats announced their new flagship noise canceling earbuds at CES 2026, the Aura Nebula, with a focus on touting sound quality and user experience. Is this finally something just focused on simple sound quality, rather than pushing a bunch of AI buzzwords?

TL;DR
  • New flagship ANC earbuds from Soundpeats
  • 5-driver hybrid, featuring Dynamic driver, Planar, Dual Balanced Armature, and Micro Planar tweeter.
  • Supports Bluetooth codec aptX Adaptive Lossless, LDAC, LC3, and Snapdragon Sound™

Visually striking look

While the focus on the Aura Nebula is on sound, Soundpeats aren’t slacking on the design. Using the IML Layering process, they can add depth to the design of the earbuds. This allows them to stand out in a sea of single-color, single-texture earbuds on the market. The included colorways are a deep purple and a cosmic black, maintaining the Nebula theme. Soundpeats claim the earbuds will last up to 7 hours per charge, but we’ll have to wait until we get them in the lab to test this ourselves.

The case, on the other hand, has some great features. There is wireless charging to keep a desk less cluttered with wires. With fast charging, so that even if you’re in a hurry, you can even get audio back up and running as you rush out the door. When you arrive at your destination and start work, it has a Multipoint connection, so you don’t have to keep swapping connections between your laptop and smartphone.

Travel soundscapes with the Soundpeats Acoustic Engine

The Aura Nebula features a 5-driver hybrid design. They feature a 10mm dynamic driver to produce deep bass. The 6mm magnetic planar driver is used to drive the mid frequencies. Planar magnetics are renowned for their accurate sound reproduction and low distortion, which should result in excellent vocals at any volume, complemented by the Balance armature tweeter and a planar magnetic tweeter for treble, covering both high and ultra-high frequencies.

If you’re worried that none of this matters because they’re Bluetooth earbuds, don’t worry, as they have support for lossless sound. The Aura Nebula are going to launch with support for aptX Lossless and Snapdragon Sound support. This should be as close to wired as it gets since they both have data rates of CD-quality. Making the most use of high fidelity media that is now on most streaming services like Spotify or Tidal. They still have LDAC support, so you’ll also get the most out of your earbuds, even if you’re using an older smartphone.

The app will feature all the elements we’ve come to expect from Soundpeats: customizable EQ, multiple presets, and fit detection. The fit detection can help maintain a consistent listening experience while still allowing you to adjust the sound to your liking. For gamers, there’s a gaming mode that reduces latency, which can be used to improve lip sync in movies.

When is the Aura Nebula available?

The Aura Nebula is set to release in the spring of this year for $200 MSRP. Two colorways will be available: black and purple, reminiscent of the cosmos. While waiting, you may want to check out a few other Soundpeats products, such as the Air5 Pro.
