Sol Republic Shadow Wireless Tiger Woods edition announced
After the initial announcement that Tiger Woods had joined the Sol Republic ‘Saviors of Sound’, there hasn’t been too much to talk about regarding the deal. It seems the time has finally come for the first Tiger Woods edition headphones which come in the form of these two-toned “Black and Oxblood Red” special edition Shadow wireless.
For those who don’t follow golf Tiger wears red every Sunday, so the new color choice has more significance than just picking a random color. The headphones themselves are relatively new having only been released last month. They share a similar design to most Bluetooth earbuds these days with the ‘buds being attached to a collar of sorts. Normally one of the complaints associated with this design is comfort. However, one of the coolest things about these is that the neckband was designed using research from NASA. They studied the anatomy of the neck in order to make a neckband that should comfortably fit the vast majority of humans.
The headphones have an 8 hour battery wand come with a built-in mic and playback controls on the neckband. Out of the box they come with a couple of extra different sized ear tips so you can get the right fit. Should you lose the ones that come with the headphones, the Shadow Wireless are also part of Sol Republics ear tips for life program so you can easily replace them no questions asked.
Just like the original Shadow wireless, these will be available exclusively through Best Buy. The standard options (white or black) cost $99, but if you want the Tiger Woods special edition pair be prepared to shell out an extra $20 as they will cost you $120. They will begin shipping on April 29th so if you pre-order you can expect yours sometime in early May.
