Chinese audio brand SIVGA has announced the Lyrebird, a new pair of hybrid in-ear monitors (IEMs) aimed at those who want high-end sound without the high-end price. The wired earbuds are available starting today for $149 through SIVGA’s online store, Amazon, and selected retailers.

While SIVGA isn’t a household name, it’s known in audiophile circles for offering headphones and IEMs that deliver good sound quality and premium craftsmanship for the price. Audiophiles often praise the brand’s use of real wood finishes and its focus on value rather than flashy features.

The Lyrebird IEMs follow that formula with a quad-driver hybrid design that combines four different driver technologies inside each earbud. It pairs a 10mm dynamic driver with a balanced armature, a microplanar driver, and a piezoelectric ceramic driver, each handling a different part of the frequency range. According to SIVGA, this results in deeper bass, clearer vocals, smoother treble, and a wider soundstage.

The company has also focused on building quality. Each earpiece features a handcrafted stabilized wood faceplate with a grain pattern, paired with CNC-machined aluminum housings for added durability and to help reduce unwanted vibrations.

The Lyrebird comes with a detachable cable that uses a 4.4mm balanced connector. That means it’s primarily designed for dedicated music players and headphone amps, and a USB-C adapter will be needed to use them with a smartphone.

Meanwhile, SIVGA is also offering a carrying case and multiple silicone ear tips in the box.
