“Great headphones, but the 2nd Sony headphones of mine, what physically broke after a few years, and Sony service rejected to fix.”

“I knew I was getting into a high-end experience but the XM5s just moved the bar MUCH higher for me. Sound is extremely clear, speakers are loud and the battery lasts around a month and charges quickly. They will kill the sound quality the moment you get in a call though.”

“They aren't the most comfortable in the world if you have wonky ears like I do, the ear cups are a bit shallow and the headband can be painful over long sessions.”

“I bought these planning to EQ them. You can, but it's an imperfect solution and shows depending on genre. Overall comfortable, the ANC is very good, build quality & case are decent, and battery life is plenty. The cans are slightly unwieldy. My unit had a manufacturing defect.”

“The hinge design is severely flawed, and many other reviews online corroborate this. Not enough people, particularly reviewers discuss this point of failure.”
