Meze Audio unveils high-end STRADA closed-back headphones

High-end Romanian audio company Meze Audio has just unveiled its new closed-back STRADA headphones. These feature a chassis modelled on the company’s LIRIC headphones and adorn premium materials. These include a magnesium frame, memory foam PU leather padding, an Alcantara-lined inner chamber to manage heat and moisture, and dense Macassar ebony ear cups. The smooth functionality of the adjustable headband rods offers usability free from clicks and sudden steps.

The STRADA headphones are equipped with 50mm dynamic drivers taken from the 109 PRO. These have been redesigned for closed-back headphones and use W-shaped bio-cellulose composite domes and beryllium-coated tori to reduce unwanted resonances. The driver also features a stabilizer comprised of a copper-zinc alloy positioned around the membrane, which improves vibration absorption and reduces distortion.

The headband features soft padding with cushions arranged in a symmetrical cross pattern. This distributes pressure evenly, maintains airflow, and reduces heat build-up during long listening sessions. True to Meze Audio, the STRADA also features magnetic ear pads and replaceable components. For example, you can service the chassis, headband, drivers, ear cups, padding, and more. The headphones have a 40 Ω impedance, connect with a dual 3.5mm TS jack, and weigh 330g.

The STRADA headphones are available in deep metallic green for $799 from the company’s website. You receive a dual-twisted, Kevlar-wrapped OFC cable, a PU Leather cable pouch, a 1/4-inch gold-plated jack adapter, and a hard EVA pouch in the packaging.
