TL;DR
  • KEF introduces the LSX II LT, a more affordable variant of its LSX II speakers.
  • The speakers offer high-fidelity sound with KEF’s Uni-Q driver array and extensive connectivity, including HDMI ARC, USB-C, and optical inputs.
  • Sound customization is available through the KEF Connect app, with Room EQ DSP for tailored sound.

Today, KEF introduces the LSX II LT, a more wallet-friendly variant of its popular LSX II streaming active loudspeaker, packing high-quality sound and versatility into a more affordable package.

The LSX II LT don’t skimp on quality, featuring KEF’s W2 streaming module without the Roon Readiness found in the higher-end LSX II. However, the speaker integrates with Apple AirPlay 2, Chromecast, and Tidal Connect, alongside the KEF Connect app’s support for UPnP, Qobuz, Deezer, and Amazon Music. You also have more universal connectivity options like Ethernet, Wi-Fi, and Bluetooth.

KEF designed the speaker with three primary functions in mind – music streaming, computer audio, and television sound – and the LSX II LT comes equipped with digital connections tailored for each use: USB-C for computers, HDMI ARC for TVs, and TOSLINK for gaming consoles and CD players.

At its core, the LSX II LT sports an 11th-generation Uni-Q driver array, just like its LSX II counterpart. Each driver is powered by its own Class D amplifier and DAC, ensuring crisp, clear sound. The arrangement includes 70 Watts for the mid/bass driver and 30 Watts for the tweeter, all fine-tuned by KEF’s ‘Musical Integrity Engine’ for optimal performance across different room placements.

The KEF LSX II LT speakers, priced at $999.99, are available now in Graphite Grey, Stone White, and Sage Green. You can also pick up an 8m C-Link speaker cable for an additional $59.
