- JBL adds three new headsets to its Quantum gaming series: Quantum 950X, Quantum 650X, and Quantum 250.
- All models include 50mm carbon dynamic drivers, cardioid boom mics, and modular designs.
- Release begins in March, with wider availability in April.
At CES 2026, JBL announced three additions to its Quantum gaming headset lineup. The new Quantum 950X, Quantum 650X, and Quantum 250 are positioned at different price points but share common hardware elements, including 50mm carbon dynamic drivers and modular designs with replaceable components.
Each model supports multi-platform compatibility and aims to serve different gaming setups, from wired, entry-level use to feature-rich wireless systems.
JBL Quantum 950X: Head Tracking, ANC, and Swappable Batteries

- MSRP: $399.95

The Quantum 950X is the most fully featured headset in the updated lineup. According to JBL, it includes:
- Adaptive Noise Cancelling with an ambient sound passthrough mode
- Quantum Spatial Sound enhanced by head tracking
- Dual wireless connectivity (2.4GHz dongle and Bluetooth 5.3)
- Wired USB-C and 3.5mm support
- Swappable dual battery system, with up to 50 hours combined battery life
- Wireless base station that also acts as a charger and control hub
- 6mm cardioid boom mic with AI-based noise reduction
- Replaceable parts include earcups, mic, hammock headband, and cables
JBL says the headset is compatible with Windows, macOS, iOS, Android, and most gaming consoles.
JBL Quantum 650X: Mid-Tier Wireless with Long Battery Life

- MSRP: $199.95
- Availability: April 2026
The Quantum 650X is a mid-range option that retains several features from the 950X but omits head tracking and active noise cancellation. Key specs include:
- 50mm carbon drivers
- Quantum Spatial Sound (head tracking not included)
- Dual wireless via Bluetooth 5.3 and 2.4GHz dongle
- Low-latency USB-C wired option
- 45-hour battery life
- Replaceable mic, cushions, cables, and hammock
It supports the same range of platforms and appears to target users looking for a wireless headset with extended use time but fewer premium features.
JBL Quantum 250: Budget-Friendly, Wired Setup

- MSRP: $79.95
- Availability: March 2026
The Quantum 250 is a wired-only headset positioned at the lower end of the lineup. It retains the same 50mm drivers found in the more expensive models and includes:
- 3.5mm analog connection
- Quantum Spatial Sound (head tracking not included)
- 6mm cardioid boom mic
- Replaceable ear cushions, cable, mic, and headband
- Available in black and white
No battery or wireless connectivity is included, and JBL lists compatibility across PC, Mac, consoles, and mobile.
This refresh is JBL’s latest update to its Quantum headset lineup, which first launched in 2020. The new models appear to focus on modularity and platform flexibility, with JBL emphasizing updated spatial sound processing via its QuantumENGINE software and expanded high-frequency response from redesigned drivers. While JBL claims improved detail and positional audio, performance remains to be seen until we put them through our lab for testing.
