Exclusive interview with Jonathan Levine, CEO of Master & Dynamic
CES is a time for strange things, and some cool things. But some of our favorite moments come from getting the chance to talk to some of the people behind some of our favorite brands. A peek behind the scenes for anyone who has never been to CES but most with most companies usually don’t let you talk to their CEO, but Master & Dynamic isn’t “most” companies.
We got a chance to interview their CEO Jonathan Levine last year, and this year we sat back down with him to talk about a few things new and old. Ever since the beginning Master & Dynamic has put an emphasis on design and build materials without sacrificing sound quality. Which means that some of their products end up being a little on the pricey side, but at least you’re not getting something cheap and flimsy. We’ve reviewed a few of their products including their ME01 brass in-ears and their MW60 wireless over-ears, and have always come away impressed.
Their products are typically all metal and wrapped in leather, but they also have a speaker made entirely of concrete that is even sitting in the MoMA store. Besides that speaker we also asked Jonathan about some of the backstory behind Master & Dynamic and talked about the culture of collaboration that you’ll find in their company.
Make sure to check out the full interview in the video above and let us know what you’re most excited to see from the company in 2018.
