Lillies, your wallet is in danger. Bose has launched a $399 limited-edition version of its Ultra Open Earbuds, co-signed by the BLACKPINK icon herself — and yes, they’re mostly the same as the $299 pair aside from looks.
The Bose x LISA Ultra Open Earbuds are the same open-ear, cuff-style headphones already in the brand’s lineup, designed to let you hear your surroundings while still streaming K-Pop. But this version swaps out the matte finish for a glossy black shell and LISA’s signature chrome star (a nod to her latest solo era), making them more of a fashion flex than a tech upgrade.
So what’s the extra $100 for? Mostly branding — but also a chance to win a trip to Los Angeles to meet LISA in person. Every purchase made between May 12 and May 17 on Bose.com gets you one entry into the giveaway. Five winners will get flown out to LA in July, put up in a hotel, and handed a pair of Crystal Edition earbuds you can’t buy anywhere else. Alternatively, if you’re not the “spend $400 to roll the dice” type, you can enter the contest by mailing in a much cheaper postcard.
You can buy the earbuds early at a one-day-only pop-up in Los Angeles on May 10 (11 a.m. — 8 p.m. PT), but only online purchases during the May 12–17 window are eligible for the contest. So if you’re in it for the meet-and-greet, hold your fire.
The Ultra Opens were already a tough sell at $299, so a $100 markup for a cosmetic refresh doesn’t help. But for the hardcore fans, that might not matter. Some people will pay anything for a shot at turning their stan account into a selfie with LISA.
