Bose brings brand-new QuietComfort Earbuds: A budget-friendly surprise?
- Bose releases a new version of the QuietComfort earbuds
- Features include noise cancelation, customizable controls, and promising up to 8.5 hours of battery life
- Available for $179 in three color options: Black, White Smoke, and Chilled Lilac
Bose has unveiled its new QuietComfort Earbuds today, not to be confused with the 2020 QuietComfort Earbuds. These wireless earbuds are an affordable alternative to the recent QuietComfort Ultra earbuds in Bose’s lineup. The main difference is that these earbuds won’t have Snapdragon Sound and aptX Lossless support, which are premium features of the Ultra earbuds.
Still, the new QuietComfort Earbuds boast several features, including customizable tap controls, voice command capabilities, and a wireless charging case. Bose also claims the earbuds can provide up to 8.5 hours of battery life on a single charge, which would be fairly good if our testing confirms those results.
The earbuds utilize a system of six microphones—three in each bud—to optimize noise rejection and voice pickup for calls. They will also be water and sweat-resistant with an IPX4 rating, potentially making them suitable for workouts and exercise.
Of course, the new QuietComfort Earbuds will be compatible with the Bose companion app, allowing users to customize touch controls, adjust noise cancelation settings, and access additional features such as an improved five-band adjustable EQ and Voice ID for personalized audio calibration. The earbuds also support Bluetooth 5.3 and offer Multipoint connection.
Priced at $179, the QuietComfort earbuds are available now in three color options: Black, White Smoke, and Chilled Lilac.
