The Beats Studio Pro may be ageing headphones, but they’re currently on sale for nearly $200 off. For a limited time only, shoppers can bag one of Apple’s best Android-friendly over-ears for $169.95. For context, this represents a 51% discount from their usual list price of $349.99. The only other time the headphones were cheaper was during December last year, when they retailed for $159.99. However, all color variants are included in this latest deal: Black, Deep Brown, Matte White, Navy, Sand Gray, and Sandstone. Interested buyers can grab the headphones now from Amazon, Walmart, and Best Buy for a limited time only.

It’s been nearly three years since the Beats Studio Pro launched. While they get some things right, they’re not the most comfortable headphones on the market. In particular, the headband is made of low-quality plastic, the ear cups do not accommodate glasses, and the clamping force is best for those with smaller heads.

As Spartan as this looks, uncomplicated packaging contents are a nice plus for any set of headphones.

That said, the Beats Studio Pro are a testament to how Beats has improved its headphone offerings over the years. If you can overcome the fit issues, the Studio Pro feature decent active noise cancellation. In ideal conditions, they attenuate most unpleasant sounds by 50-90%. They also employ a far more consumer-friendly tuning, with much less bass emphasis than most of their predecessor’s. Our panel of virtual listeners gave the headphones an overall MDAQS score of 4.8. This positions them among the best-sounding consumer headphones on the market. They also support wired connectivity via 3.5mm TRS cables and feature a built-in USB-C DAC.

Commuters will appreciate the Studio Pro’s 30-hour battery life, and their 270g frame is ideal for longer listening sessions. However, there are no remarkable, future-proof features onboard. Instead, this latest Beats Studio Pro sale benefits those with smaller heads looking for a pair of long-lasting ANC headphones on a budget.
