This is the only mic arm worth buying this Black Friday
If you’re shopping for a mic arm this Black Friday, listen up: Elgato’s low-profile arms are the real deal, and they’re finally on sale. These aren’t just cheap desk clamps—they’re legitimately the best low-profile options I’ve tested, and right now they’re discounted on Amazon.
For heavy mics: Elgato Wave Mic Arm Pro
Running a beefy microphone like the Shure SM7dB? You need the Elgato Wave Mic Arm Pro, now $139.99 at Amazon ($40 off). The catch? Only the white version is discounted.
What makes it worth it: This thing handles heavy microphones without sagging, has improved tension adjustments you can actually dial in, and hides all your cables in channels underneath the arm. Fair warning: if your mic’s cable port is rear-facing, you’ll still need to route it through the bottom, which means some cable twisting.

For everything else: Elgato Wave Mic Arm LP
Unless you’re mounting something unusually heavy, save yourself the cash and grab the standard Wave Mic Arm LP. The black version is $69.99 ($30 off), while the white costs $79.99 at Amazon.
Before you worry about weight limits: this arm handles mics up to 2kg (4.4 lbs). That includes something like an AKG P420 with a shock mount (just over 500g) with headroom to spare. The main difference? Cable channels run through the top instead of underneath.

Should you wait?
There are more deals available on Elgato’s own website, including discounts on plugins like Voice Focus when you purchase a mic arm. Their site also hints at deeper Black Friday discounts coming. So, unless you need it immediately, it may be worth holding off for a couple of days.
