Anyma is officially making his Canadian debut this weekend.

The electronic music artist will perform in Canada for the first time on Saturday, August 29, headlining the inaugural Soulrise Music Festival at Ambleside Park in West Vancouver. He’ll be bringing ÆDEN, his latest large-scale audiovisual production, along with a lineup that includes Argy, Kevin de Vries, Korolova, Son of Son, and Daijo.

For Canadian electronic music fans, it’s a fairly significant booking. Anyma has become one of the most recognizable names in melodic techno in recent years, helped in no small part by live shows that put nearly as much emphasis on the visual production as the music itself.

Anyma is the multidisciplinary music and art project led by Italian-American producer Matteo Milleri. His performances combine electronic music with enormous screens, digital characters, surreal environments, and carefully synchronized animations to create something closer to an audiovisual production than a conventional DJ set.

The scale of those shows reached another level when Anyma became the first electronic music act to perform at the Sphere in Las Vegas in 2024. His The End of Genesys run eventually expanded into an eight-show sold-out residency before returning for four additional performances in early 2025.

ÆDEN is the next evolution of that concept. The new show made its live debut at Coachella earlier this year and introduces new music alongside an entirely new visual world. Anyma describes the production as an experience combining music, visual art, technology, and nature.

That combination makes ÆDEN an especially interesting show for anyone interested in the increasingly blurry line between concerts, digital art, and immersive entertainment.

Anyma’s Canadian debut will headline the first-ever Soulrise Music Festival, a new one-day electronic music event at Ambleside Park on West Vancouver’s waterfront. The rest of the lineup stays firmly within the melodic house and techno world. Argy performs immediately before Anyma, while Kevin de Vries, Korolova, Son of Son, and Vancouver-based Daijo round out the bill.
