Simple controls keep your attention on the conversation
Soulog Sense starts with a physical recording control. Slide it up to begin recording and down to stop and save the file. A breathing light indicates that recording is active, so you have a visible cue without opening an app. After initial setup and pairing, Bluetooth can reconnect automatically when available.
During a recording, pressing the Multifunction button marks an important moment. If an interview subject gives a useful explanation or a colleague confirms a deadline, that press creates a point you can return to later. These highlights can also help structure chapters and summaries.
The hardware is built to stay close at hand. Its body measures 0.124-inch thick, or approximately 3.15mm, and built-in Dual-sided magnetic design let it attach to phones and cases. It charges over USB-C and uses its own battery for recording, without drawing recording power from your phone.
Soulog rates that battery for over 50 hours of continuous recording on a full charge. Actual endurance depends on usage conditions, while sleep mode can extend the time. For someone moving between interviews or classes, that capacity is a practical part of the appeal.
Soulog also lists dual microphones with AI noise cancellation for speech capture. The usefulness of any transcript starts with the audio you feed it, so sensible placement still matters: keep the recorder close to the conversation and avoid covering its microphones.

With Live Rewind already enabled in the app, holding the Multifunction button for two seconds saves up to the previous 30 minutes of audio.
The setup requirement matters. Live rewind is off by default, and you need to enable it before the moment you want to recover. Turning it on afterward cannot retrieve a conversation that the device was not capturing.
That could be useful during an agreed recording session when an interview begins informally or a discussion gets underway sooner than expected. Make sure participants know about the recording, obtain the required consent, and follow applicable recording laws. Continued Live Rewind access requires a paid plan after the introductory trial.
Turn spoken details into structured notes
Once a recording is captured, the Soulog App can transcribe it with timestamps and speaker labels. Soulog offers unlimited transcription across 120+ languages, including on its Free plan, with support for Vocabulary Management and summaries in your preferred output language.
Vocabulary Management is relevant when a conversation includes product names, technical vocabulary, or specialized research terms. Timestamps give you a way back to the source audio when you need to check the wording of a quote or hear an explanation again.

An audio recording often captures only part of a discussion. Someone points to a slide, writes a figure on a whiteboard, or mentions an article everyone is supposed to read. Those details can be difficult to reconstruct from speech alone.
