Sony's portable ULT Field 1 Bluetooth speaker now comes in a fresh new color

Sony’s ULT Field lineup offers some of the best portable Bluetooth speakers on the market today. There’s the ULT Field 7, a big (yet still portable) speaker, and, of course, the entry-level ULT Field 1 with its compact size and impressive sound. If you were planning to buy the ULT Field 1 and were unsure which shade would look best, Sony is adding to the confusion with a new color option.
Sony has announced that the ULT Field 1 will now be available in a new blue shade dubbed “Smoke Blue.” This marks the fifth color option for the ULT Field 1, alongside Black, Off-White, Forest Gray, and Orange.
Aside from the new color, everything else remains the same. It’s the same ULT Field 1, featuring a durable, lightweight design and an IP67 rating that makes it safe for outdoor use. It also includes the same battery, claimed to last 12 hours on a charge — though it lasted considerably longer in our review with ULT mode turned off.
The ULT Field 1 is easy to carry around, and while it won’t do much at a large outdoor gathering, it’s great for smaller groups. Plus, the Smoke Blue finish won’t show dirt as easily as our white review unit did.
