Sennheiser MOMENTUM True Wireless 5 leak spills price, colors, and possible launch date

Premium wireless earbuds have become surprisingly predictable over the past few years. Every new generation promises better sound, improved noise cancellation, and a handful of smarter features. Through all of that, though, Sennheiser’s MOMENTUM earbuds have consistently remained among the easiest recommendations for anyone who cares about audio quality. That’s exactly why the upcoming MOMENTUM True Wireless 5 has been generating so much interest.
A few months ago, we got our first glimpse of the earbuds thanks to leaked images and an FCC filing. Now, a fresh report from Dealabs Magazine sheds light on something buyers usually want to know first: how much they’ll cost and what color options will be available.
Per the report, the Sennheiser MOMENTUM True Wireless 5 will launch in Graphite, Cream, Copper, Denim, and Lavender. As for the cost, the earbuds will carry a retail price of €299.90 in France. That’s arguably the most interesting part of the leak.
It’s becoming increasingly common to see new gadgets arrive with higher price tags than the models they replace. So, seeing Sennheiser stick to roughly the same asking price as the MOMENTUM True Wireless 4 is a pleasant surprise. So, if you’ve been holding onto an older pair of MOMENTUM earbuds, or you’re shopping in the premium segment for the first time, that alone could make the True Wireless 5 much easier to justify.
Of course, it also raises a few questions. Has Sennheiser managed to keep costs down without sacrificing anything, or has it found other ways to offset rising production expenses? At this point, there’s no evidence that the company has cut corners, so it’s probably too early to jump to conclusions. We’ll have to wait for the full specifications before making that call.
The same report also points to August 19 as a possible launch date, although it notes that the timing hasn’t been fully confirmed. As always with leaks, it’s best to treat the information with a healthy dose of skepticism until Sennheiser makes everything official.
