TL;DR
  • A new leak suggests that the Galaxy Buds FE could have an MSRP of just $100.
  • The design of the earbud and its case have also leaked, giving us a good look at them before their eventual launch.

Samsung has cemented its place amongst the masses as a maker of premium earbuds, with products like the Galaxy Buds 2 Pro becoming the top choice for consumers who also own a Galaxy flagship. If you want a cheaper pair of earbuds from Samsung, there is the Galaxy Buds 2 that you can take a look at. But what if you want something even cheaper? Samsung has a new pair of earbuds in the works in the form of the Galaxy Buds FE, and leaks suggest they could be even more competitively priced.

According to leaker Roland Quandt, the Samsung Galaxy Buds FE could come with an MSRP of $99.99. They could come in Graphite and White colors and will have a 12mm AKG-tuned driver.

A $100 MSRP would be cheaper than the current Galaxy Buds 2, which are often discounted down to $105 and were launched for $150.

A previous leak by Roland Quandt at Winfuture gave us a good look at what the earbuds could look like.

As we can see, the Galaxy Buds FE looks fairly different from the Galaxy Buds 2 Galaxy Buds 2 Pro, and it looks closer to the original Galaxy Buds.

The biggest difference is the presence of stabilizing fins on the earbud, which should give them a good fit and prevent them from falling out during exercises. Samsung does not adopt a stem design for its earbuds, so a stabilizer is the next best thing. On the original Galaxy Buds, the smallest-sized wingtips did not have stabilizers, while the bigger wingtips had increasingly larger stabilizers.

The Galaxy Buds FE also has a flatter body compared to the bulbous body on the current lineup. The case still follows the same overall look of the current generation.

It remains to be seen when these earbuds launch and how Samsung positions them.
