Pure Audio Streaming is bringing its lossless audio streams to your computer

- Pure Audio Streaming shared some of its future plans at HIGH END Vienna 2026.
- The service plans to extend streaming support to Windows, macOS, and Apple TV platforms in Q3.
- The company confirms its interest in possibly expanding into new delivery formats in the future.
When you want to get the very most out of your listening experiences, lossless audio sources offer a tempting solution: By avoiding the pitfalls of perceptual coding, you retain access to the full-quality recording, in all its original fidelity. Lossless platform Pure Audio Streaming just took to HIGH END Vienna 2026 earlier this month to share what’s next for listeners, including expanded software support.
For all it theoretically promises, there are sure a whole lot of asterisks that threaten to seriously mitigate whatever quality improvements lossless audio might offer, and a big one there involves portable speakers. Even when they do support aptX Lossless or even lossless, wired input, they’re often just not built substantially enough to deliver output that’s really capable of highlighting the subtle effects otherwise lost to compression.
So far, though, Pure Audio Streaming just supports iOS, Android, and Android TV — meaning there’s a reasonably strong chance that listeners are using wireless speakers or headphones that may not take full advantage of the source quality. But now the company shares that it’s expanding access to Apple TV, macOS, and Windows desktops at some point in Q3 of this year, perfect for you to enjoy with a nice external audio interface.
Beyond the expanded platform support, the company says that it’s also looking into possible new delivery formats, as well as introducing a new retail program designed to expose more audio fans to its technologies.
Pure Audio Streaming’s subscription offerings start at $25 a month, or you can lock in a full year for $275 and essentially get one month for free.
