The verdict

With aptX Adaptive support and a unique retransmitting charging case, the Bowers & Wilkins PI7 makes its case for the best Bluetooth audio quality in a pair of wireless earbuds. However, these earbuds cost an arm and a leg, and don't hold up to the competition when it comes to customization, sound quality, active noise canceling (ANC), or battery life.

What we like
Gorgeous design
Built-in audio transmitter
In-ear detection
Bluetooth 5.0; aptX Adaptive, aptX HD, aptX LL, aptX, AAC, SBC
Wireless and USB-C charging, fast charge
IP54 dust and water resistance
What could be better
Mediocre ANC performance
Significant boost to bass and high frequencies
Limited companion app features
Poor battery life
