We got a chance to take a quick look at each of these products at NAMM 2024.
Mackie DLZ Creator XS
A smaller version of the popular DLZ Creator, the new DLZ Creator XS is a great control system for recording multi-channel vocal audio. It brings the same DSP processing power and features of the larger model, including Mix Agent virtual audio assistant and AutoMix. These features help beginners with gain settings to ensure everyone can get an audio mix that sounds right.
With integrated video and audio control, a first for Mackie, the MainStream is a great new option for live streamers. Connect your mic, HDMI game feed, USB cameras, and other inputs to this one solution for your streaming setup. The included Mackie Matrix software allows you to route audio, tweak your mix, add effects, create samples, and trigger them with the virtual pads.
For musicians that perform live, Mackie has unveiled the ShowBox, a battery-powered rig for playing on the go. You get six input channels, mix control, a built-in effects engine, and streaming with USB-C or Bluetooth. 12 hours of battery life will outlast any live show, and you can pair it with a footswitch for dynamic control. The mixer slots right into the 8″ battery-powered loudspeaker.
For portable sound mixing, Mackie released the MobileMix. It’s a tiny mixer that operates on USB power, with a slot for a rechargeable battery.
The ProFXv3+ is a new series from Mackie that includes 6-channel, 10-channel, and 12-channel mixers. Advanced features integrated into the mixers include Onyx preamps, Bluetooth support, and customization over audio effects with the color LCD screen.
