LG finally launches its xboom Buds Lite and Buds Plus earbuds

After announcing its new flagship earbuds in September 2025, LG has finally brought the xboom Buds Plus and Buds Lite to market. Partnered with and tuned by the famous musician will.i.am, the earbuds represent a step forward for the company.

The LG xboom Buds Plus are LG’s most advanced ANC buds to date. Shipping in a single Black colorway, the Buds Plus sport 10mm graphene-coated dynamic drivers and stabilizing ear fins to ensure a comfortable and reliable listening experience. Their IPX4 rating protects against water, and the UVnano case kills 99.9% of bacteria during 10 minutes of charging. The xboom Buds Plus feature a 6-mic array for canceling environmental noise and support dual OS voice assistants. LG claims that the battery lasts up to 7.5 hours with ANC, and they support fast charging. Similarly, the earbuds feature wireless charging and Google Fast Pair capabilities. The Buds Plus offer limited Bluetooth codecs, including SBC and AAC. However, the buds feature Bluetooth Multipoint and Auracast, and the case works as an audio transmitter. Downloading the Xboom Buds app unlocks comprehensive EQ adjustments.

The Buds Lite offer similar yet pared-down functionality. For example, they have identical drivers, form factor, and water resistance. However, they feature weaker ANC performance, which some may prefer for retaining situational awareness. Their battery life lasts marginally longer, with up to 8.5 hours of ANC-enabled listening time per charge. Fast-charging the buds for five minutes begets one hour of playtime. Unfortunately, the LG xboom Buds Lite’s case does not support Auracast or work as an audio transmitter.
