Amazon has cut the Anker Soundcore Boom 2 to $90.99, down from its $129.99 RRP. That saves you $39, which is a 30% discount relative to the recommended retail price, and it makes this a strong time to grab a portable speaker with big outdoor sound.
This isn’t quite the lowest price ever, but it is the lowest we’ve seen outside the recent Prime Day sale. With a 4.6-star rating, the Boom 2 is also getting plenty of praise from buyers who want strong bass and a speaker they can take almost anywhere.
The Soundcore Boom 2 is built around a bass-heavy sound profile designed for casual listening, backyard hangouts, and outdoor parties. It includes BassUp 2.0, stereo pairing support, app control, and customizable EQ settings, so you can change the sound to fit what you are playing. It also has built-in lighting if you want a bit more atmosphere.
For outdoor use, the IPX7 waterproof design is a big part of the appeal, and it can float, too. Battery life is listed at up to 24 hours, though that depends on how loud you play it and whether features like bass boost and lights are on.
