TL;DR
  • The EarFun Clip 2 is available now through EarFun’s website and Amazon for $79.99
  • Key features include Bluetooth 6.0, LDAC support, AI translation through the EarFun Audio app, and up to 40 hours of total battery life.

EarFun has launched the Clip 2, a new pair of open-ear, clip-style wireless earbuds aimed at listeners who want situational awareness without giving up modern wireless features. The earbuds are priced at $79.99 and are available through EarFun’s official website and Amazon starting April 27. EarFun is positioning the Clip 2 as a more feature-packed option in the growing open-ear category, with AI translation, hi-res audio support, and a lightweight design.

The Clip 2 uses a C-shaped bridge and a slim nickel-titanium body designed to wrap around the ear rather than seal inside the ear canal. Each earbud weighs 5.5g, and EarFun says the design is based on more than 20,000 flex tests and 10 months of user data. As with other open-ear earbuds, the appeal here is likely comfort and awareness of your surroundings, though that also means these earbuds are not designed to isolate you from outside noise like traditional in-ear models.

The EarFun Clip 2 deliver flagship features at a budget price.

On the audio side, the EarFun Clip 2 includes 12mm dual-magnetic titanium composite drivers, LDAC support, and EarFun’s BassSurge processing. The earbuds also offer Spatial Stage Technology, a theater mode, and an ultra-low-latency mode for video and gaming. Those specs sound promising on paper, but we’ll need to put the EarFun Clip 2 through the SoundGuys testing lab in a full review to see if it lives up to the hype.

Other features include Bluetooth 6.0, multipoint connectivity for pairing with two devices at once, Google Fast Pair for Android users, and a quad-microphone AI environmental noise cancellation system for calls. Battery life is rated at up to 11 hours per charge, with up to 40 hours total from the USB-C charging case, and a 10-minute quick charge is said to provide 2.5 hours of playback. The earbuds also carry an IP55 rating for water and dust resistance, and users can adjust controls, EQ presets, listening modes, and AI translation features through the EarFun Audio app. The SoundGuys full review is coming soon.
