EarFun unveils Clip 2 earbuds and Wave Pro X headphones at CES 2026
Jan 7, 2026 — 3:55 AM ET

At CES 2026, EarFun is introducing a new generation of wireless audio products designed to bring advanced features to more accessible price points. The company’s latest announcements include the EarFun Clip 2 open-ear earbuds and the EarFun Wave Pro X over-ear ANC headphones, both positioned as world-first products within their respective categories.
The 2026 lineup focuses on artificial intelligence, next-generation Bluetooth connectivity, high-resolution wireless audio, and extended battery performance. EarFun is targeting audio enthusiasts, commuters, travelers, and everyday listeners who want premium specifications – without flagship-level pricing.
EarFun Clip 2: open-ear earbuds with built-in AI translation

The EarFun Clip 2 is presented as the world’s first Hi-Res comfort ear-clip earbuds with built-in AI translation priced under $80. The product uses an open-ear, ear-clip design intended to prioritize comfort, awareness, and hands-free communication.
Open-ear design and comfort-focused construction

The Clip 2 features a lightweight ear-clip architecture designed for extended wear. Its ergonomic structure uses soft, skin-friendly materials to reduce pressure and fatigue during long listening sessions. Because the earbuds sit outside the ear canal, users can remain aware of their surroundings, making the design suitable for commuting, office use, and outdoor activities.
EarFun has also redesigned the acoustic nozzle with an elliptical sound port. This larger, reshaped outlet is intended to improve sound dispersion and create a wider perceived sound compared to previous open-ear designs.
AI-powered translation for global communication

A defining feature of the Clip 2 is its built-in AI-powered translation, accessed through the EarFun Audio App. The system supports real-time speech-to-text translation, enabling cross-language communication in travel, professional meetings, conferences, and everyday conversations.
The translation feature allows users to listen to translated audio while simultaneously viewing text-based translations on a connected device, reducing the need for separate translation hardware.
Audio hardware and high-resolution support

Despite its compact, open-ear form factor, the Clip 2 includes upgraded audio components. It uses 12mm dual-magnetic titanium composite dynamic drivers designed to deliver fuller and richer sound compared to earlier generations.
The earbuds support Hi-Res Audio and LDAC, enabling higher bit-rate wireless playback from compatible source devices. In addition, the Clip 2 includes optional 3D surround sound modes intended for movies and video content.
Call quality, connectivity, and durability

For voice communication, the Clip 2 introduces a quad-microphone ENC (Enhanced Noise Cancellation) system. This setup is powered by a next-generation smart audio chip based on RISC-V, FPU, and NPU architecture, which is designed to improve voice clarity and suppress environmental noise during calls.
Additional features include Bluetooth 6.0 for faster and more stable connections, Multipoint Connection for dual-device pairing, and Google Fast Pair for quick setup with compatible Android devices. The earbuds also feature an IP55-rated chassis for dust and water resistance, supporting use during workouts and in variable weather conditions.
Battery life and charging

The Clip 2 offers up to 40 hours of total playback when used with its charging case. The case supports wireless charging, and the charging contacts have been optimized to ensure consistent alignment and reliable power delivery.
Launch timeline: March 2026
Price: $79.99
EarFun Wave Pro X: dual-driver ANC headphones with Auracast

The EarFun Wave Pro X is positioned as the brand’s flagship over-ear ANC headphones for 2026. EarFun describes the Wave Pro X as the world’s first dual-driver Qualcomm ANC headphones with Auracast, combining advanced noise cancellation, next-generation wireless connectivity, and extended battery life in a sub-$150 product.
Advanced hybrid ANC system

The Wave Pro X is built around a precision 8-microphone AI adaptive hybrid ANC system powered by the Qualcomm QCC3095 chipset. EarFun states that developing and tuning this system required nearly two years of engineering work due to the complexity of balancing noise cancellation performance, sound quality, and power efficiency.
The hybrid ANC configuration integrates feedback, feedforward, and adaptive microphones to deliver immersive, distraction-free listening. Active noise cancellation is supported both wirelessly and when connected via the AUX input, allowing ANC use even in wired listening scenarios.
Dual dynamic driver architecture

The Wave Pro X features a dual dynamic driver design consisting of a 40mm DLC (Diamond-Like Carbon) driver and a 10mm LCP (Liquid Crystal Polymer) driver. This configuration allows each driver to focus on specific frequency ranges, contributing to improved detail.
The headphones support multiple high-quality Bluetooth codecs, including aptX Adaptive, aptX Lossless, and LDAC, and they carry Hi-Res Audio certification. This ensures compatibility with a wide range of high-resolution audio sources.
Bluetooth 6.0, Auracast, and LE Audio

The Wave Pro X adopts Bluetooth 6.0, which enables faster pairing, improved data transfer rates, and enhanced connection stability. Built-in Auracast support allows one-to-many audio broadcasting, enabling shared listening experiences in public or private environments.
Additional connectivity features include LE Audio for improved efficiency, Google Fast Pair, Multipoint Connection for seamless device switching, and Dynamic Encryption with Secure Simple Pairing for enhanced wireless security.
Call quality and additional listening modes
Call performance is a central focus of the Wave Pro X. The integrated 8-microphone array is designed to isolate the user’s voice while suppressing background noise, even in busy or wind-prone environments.
The headphones also include Theater Mode for enhanced spatial presentation, an ultra-low latency Game Mode accessible through the EarFun Audio App, and USB Audio support for wired listening when charging is unavailable.
Extended battery performance
Battery life is one of the Wave Pro X’s most notable specifications. With the help of an efficient chipset and LE Audio support, the headphones deliver up to 100 hours of total listening time, allowing users to go multiple days without recharging.
Launch timeline: June 2026
Price: $129.99
