Amazon drops Sony WH-1000XM5 back to their $198 all-time low
Nov 6, 2026 — 9:45 AM ET

Sony’s WH-1000XM5 headphones are still a standout pick for anyone who wants premium over-ear wireless noise canceling, strong comfort, and polished sound. They’ve been around long enough to prove themselves, and right now there’s a very good deal on Amazon, at least if the Smoky Pink color is the one you want.
The Sony WH-1000XM5 offers very effective active noise canceling, along with up to 30 hours of battery life with noise canceling on. You also get USB-C charging and quick-charge support, which can give you a few hours of playback from a short top-up. For daily use, Sony packs in multipoint Bluetooth pairing, speak-to-chat, wear detection, hands-free calling, and app-based sound customization. The sound is widely described as detailed and smooth, and the feature set still holds up very well for commuting, work, travel, and just blocking out the world for a while.
That brings us to the deal. The Sony WH-1000XM5 is down to $198 on Amazon, from its $399.99 recommended retail price. That’s a 50% discount relative to the RRP, which knocks $201 off the usual price. We’re also told this offer is back to its all-time low, though only in the Smoky Pink finish.
Even though Sony has moved on to a newer flagship, the WH-1000XM5 remains a strong buy when the price is right. At $198, this is one of those times when the deal makes the decision a lot easier.
