Bose could be making wired earphones with active noise cancelation and USB-C

Bose makes some of the best ANC headphones and earbuds. However, if you’re looking for wired earphones that sound great and also do a solid job of cutting down on noise, Bose may soon have something joining its lineup of headphones and earbuds.

According to a Bluesky post by leaker Roland Quandt, Bose is working on wired earphones with noise cancelation support. The leak doesn’t offer detailed specs, but it includes high-quality images of the purported upcoming earphones.

Bose could launch these earphones in at least three colors: white, mint green, and black. If Bose sticks with the naming scheme it’s been using for its wireless earbuds, these will likely be called White Smoke, Dewdrop Mint, and Black, respectively.

Other images from the leak suggest that the USB-C earphones will come with an inline remote and mic. That’s fairly standard for wired earphones, and the buttons will most likely control volume, music playback, and answering/ending calls. Bose could also include a carrying case with the earphones, though I bet they’d still get tangled.

There’s not much more we can glean from this leak. The design looks fairly run-of-the-mill for earphones, with microphone grilles on top (probably for ANC). The earbuds also have wingtips (or, as Bose likes to call them, “StayHear tips”), which could offer a better, more stable fit.

All that said, it’s worth noting that this is still a leak, and a very thin one at that. We’d recommend taking this information with a pinch of salt. If Bose really is working on wired earphones with ANC, we’ll hopefully get more details in the coming days.
