We haven’t seen any significant Apple AirPods Max deals in a while. Patience pays, I suppose! Today, Apple’s best headphones have dropped to just $449, which equates to a lovely $100 discount.
This offer is available from Woot, an Amazon-owned deals website. Available color versions include Starlight, Blue, Orange, and Purple. There is a limit of two units per customer. As a nice addition, you will get a full 1-year Apple warranty, instead of Woot’s own 90-day one.
We know the Apple AirPods Max are not cheap. They are among the most expensive headphones around, even after a $100 discount! If you’re wondering whether they are worth your hard-earned cash, let’s start by telling you we have them listed as the best headphones for Apple users. We also gave the Apple AirPods Max a very positive review.
Of course, you’re not paying this much money for bad headphones. It all starts with the design. These look and feel amazing, featuring that minimalist, clean, metallic design Apple is so famous for. The large and soft earpads make them very comfortable, too, as does the headband fabric. You can comfortably wear these for hours.
You’re also getting a state-of-the-art experience. For starters, the sound quality and ANC performance are outstanding, competing only with the best in the industry. These cans include plenty of advanced features, too. These include auto-pausing, automatic device switching, gesture controls, and direct access to Siri. Just keep in mind that many of these are Apple-exclusive features, which is why we pretty much only recommend them to iPhone, iPad, and MacBook users.
The battery life is no longer as impressive, but it’s pretty decent. When we put these through our standardized tests, we managed 21 hours per charge. That actually surpassed Apple’s 20-hour estimation, which is a rare occurrence.
Our main complaint has always been the excessively high price, but that is a bit better today. If you want the very best headphones you can get for using with your Apple devices, though, these are the ones. And hey, saving $100 bucks is better than paying full price!
