Apple’s AirPods Max 2 are the company’s 2026 over-ear flagship headphones, and they pack in a lot more than just the familiar premium look. There’s also a good deal on them right now at Amazon, which makes this a smart time to take a closer look.
The AirPods Max 2 are powered by Apple’s H2 chip and bring a strong list of upgrades over the earlier model. You also get features like Adaptive Audio, Conversation Awareness, Voice Isolation, Personalized Volume, and Live Translation. For people who use Apple gear every day, that mix makes these headphones especially appealing.
They also support lossless audio and ultra-low-latency audio over USB-C, plus studio-quality audio recording. Battery life is rated at up to 20 hours with ANC enabled, and a 5-minute charge provides about 1.5 hours of listening time. Apple sells them in midnight, starlight, orange, purple, and blue, so there are a few good color choices too.
As for the deal, Amazon has the Apple AirPods Max 2 down to $429. That’s $120 off the $549 recommended retail price, which is a 22% discount. It’s the Prime Day price, but you don’t need the Amazon subscription to take advantage. With a 4.5-star rating, these premium Apple headphones are worth a look while the discount is live.
