Which Superman character shares your music taste? Check these official Spotify playlists
July 17, 2025

James Gunn has expanded Superman’s world and its soundtrack. Following the release of the recent box-office hit, Spotify now hosts official playlists for even more characters from the Superman reboot, including Green Lantern, Mr. Terrific, Lois Lane, and Superman himself.
Whether you lean into Clark Kent’s hopeful anthems or Eve Teschmacher’s high-energy girl pop, these playlists let you discover which DC hero (or villain) fits your vibe.
The Mixtapes of Metropolis

Here’s a quick guide to the music taste of every character from Superman to see which Spotify Playlist you think feels the most like you.
- Clark Kent’s playlist feels like a warm hug from the 2000s, packed with hopeful anthems and nostalgic pop-punk energy. Journey’s Don’t Stop Believin’ sits alongside All Time Low’s Dear Maria, Count Me In and The New Radicals’ You Get What You Give, channeling Clark’s Smallville optimism.
- Lex Luthor’s playlist is, unsurprisingly, a little more cerebral and menacing. Radiohead’s Everything in Its Right Place, Serge Gainsbourg’s Requiem pour un con, and Prince’s Controversy create a soundscape for a mind that’s always three moves ahead.
- Eve Teschmacher’s playlist is pure chaotic fun. Gunn described it as “a bunch of girl pop that I find really listenable,” and it’s easy to hear why. Taylor Swift’s ME!, Olivia Rodrigo’s good 4 u, and Ariana Grande’s No Tears Left to Cry make up an irresistibly catchy high-energy mix.
- The Engineer’s playlist might be the boldest of the bunch. It’s loaded with experimental electronic and moody textures, from Burial’s Archangel and Röyksopp’s The Fear to SOPHIE’s glitchy masterpiece Faceshopping. The result is hypnotic and otherworldly.
- Green Lantern’s playlist is unsurprisingly a wild ride of adrenaline-pumping party tracks and rowdy anthems. From Dropkick Murphys’ I’m Shipping Up To Boston to Kid Rock’s Bawitdaba and House of Pain’s Jump Around, it’s a chaotic mix that screams reckless energy with a wink of self-awareness.
- Lois Lane’s playlist is sharp, cool, and effortlessly rebellious. Tracks like Against Me!’s I Was a Teenage Anarchist, Blondie’s X Offender, and Elvis Costello’s Couldn’t Call It Unexpected No. 4 make this a blend of indie-rock swagger and introspective depth.
- Hawkgirl’s playlist is fiercely eclectic, channeling raw female energy with punk, alt-pop, and experimental bangers. From PJ Harvey’s Rid Of Me and Hole’s Celebrity Skin to Kero Kero Bonito’s Only Acting, it’s a mix that’s both defiant and fun.
- Metamorpho’s playlist is steeped in retro cool with a surreal edge. With Nena’s 99 Luftballons, ABC’s The Look of Love, and Public Image Ltd.’s Rise, it’s a playlist for someone straddling worlds and styles, much like the shapeshifting hero himself.
- Mr. Terrific’s playlist is an intense, cerebral blend of math rock, prog, and experimental soundscapes. Animals As Leaders’ Cafo, The Mars Volta’s Day of the Baphomets, and Tortoise’s Djed reflect a meticulous, almost intimidating intelligence.
- DC’s Ultraman’s playlist is pure chaos, roaring with heavy metal, J-rock, and breakneck energy. BABYMETAL’s Gimme Chocolate!!, Ghost’s Faith, and Maximum the Hormone’s What’s Up, People?! Make this the ultimate soundtrack for a villainous rampage.
- Jimmy Olsen’s playlist feels like flipping through a thrift store record bin—eclectic, charming, and just a little messy. From Paul Simon’s 50 Ways to Leave Your Lover to Cheap Trick’s He’s a Whore and Stray Cats’ Stray Cat Strut, it’s a fun, genre-hopping collection.
Spotify will show which character from the Superman movie your music taste matches by displaying them as the playlist cover, which can be fun to compare with friends. For the record, Spotify matched me with The Engineer. So either I’m effortlessly cool and experimental, or my playlists terrify everyone else.
