Somewhat witty headline aside, Beats have been around for some time now and time and time again, we’ve seen multiple color variants and limited edition designs plastered on their products. Don’t get me wrong, it’s great to break the monotony of headphones by throwing in flashy colors every now and then and by throwing in limited edition designs to appeal to a larger audience. This time, following the success of Straight Outta Compton, Beats by Dr. Dre created limited edition Straight Outta Compton Headphones.

In case you’re unfamiliar with Straight Outta Compton, the general premise highlights Dr. Dre and many others during the 1980’s with their rise to the top. It’s rather appropriate for Beats to make Straight Outta Compton headphones, seeing that Straight Outta Compton highlights many many successes including that of Dr. Dre. We can clearly see the success of Beats many years before Apple acquired Beats, so it’s a rather appropriate tribute of sorts to Dr. Dre and what he has accomplished with his music and with Beats.

The Straight Outta Compton headphones are available in the Beats Studio Wireless Over-Ear Headphones variant. Pricing of these limited edition headphones is at $379.95. As far as how this compares to the rest of the lineup, there’s absolutely no price difference from the baseline model, but these are limited edition, so these will probably shoot up in price on eBay once that button turns to “Out of Stock”. That aside, Beats may not be the most cost-effective solution to solve your high-quality audio woes, but with the great success of Straight Outta Compton, if you’re fond of the movie, perhaps you would like to invest in a pair on Apple’s website.
