Want more SoundGuys? How to set us as your preferred source in Google Search
August 12, 2025

Since 2013, SoundGuys has been dedicated to helping you make better decisions about the audio gear you buy. Whether it’s headphones, earbuds, speakers, microphones, or the latest spatial audio tech, our goal has always been to cut through the marketing noise and give you facts you can trust.
We want to continue to bring you the very best audio coverage, and you can help us do that.
Over the years, the way we bring that content to you has evolved. You’ve likely found us through our website, our YouTube channel, or our buying guides. Maybe you’ve seen our testing methods referenced by other outlets. We’re proud to be one of the most trusted voices in consumer audio, but staying independent only works if people can find our work.
That’s where you come in.
If you enjoy our reviews, testing, and audio explainers — and want to make sure you never miss one — you can add SoundGuys as a preferred source in Google Search. It takes just a few seconds, costs nothing, and ensures Google shows you more of our content when you search for the latest audio news and reviews. This feature is currently available in the US and India, though we assume it will roll out to a larger audience soon.
Here’s how to do it:
How to set SoundGuys as a preferred source
- Search for any trending tech topic and look for the “Top stories” section in Google Search results.
- Click the icon to the right of the “Top stories” header — it looks like three stacked squares with a star on top.
- Search for “SoundGuys” in the preferred sources menu and select it. You can add other favorite sites at this stage, too — support your favorite publications!
- Refresh your search results to see more of our content surface in the “Top stories” area.
We’re incredibly grateful for every reader, viewer, and subscriber who supports what we do. Your clicks, comments, and shares are what allow us to keep publishing honest, data-driven audio reviews without compromise.
So, if you’ve ever found our headphone guides helpful, discovered a favorite pair of earbuds thanks to our testing, or just enjoyed a good old-fashioned teardown of bad audio marketing, please consider setting us as a preferred source — and encourage your fellow audio fans to do the same.
If you have feedback or suggestions, you can always reach us at [email protected]. Thanks for listening — literally.
