Sennheiser just launched new open-ear earbuds, but US buyers are out of luck

- Sennheiser has announced the new ACCENTUM Clip open-ear wireless earbuds with Bluetooth 6.0, LDAC support, and up to 36 hours of battery life.
- The earbuds use a clip-on open-ear design that lets users hear their surroundings while listening to music.
- Oddly, the earbuds are launching in Canada but not the US, despite being announced for the Americas region.
Sennheiser has announced a new pair of open-ear wireless earbuds, but if you’re in the US, you won’t be able to buy them.
The new Sennheiser ACCENTUM Clip is a set of clip-on earbuds designed to offer the benefits of open-ear listening without sacrificing sound quality.
The earbuds feature a lightweight design, Bluetooth 6.0 connectivity, LDAC support for high-resolution audio streaming, and up to 36 hours of total battery life with the charging case.
Unlike traditional in-ear earbuds, the ACCENTUM Clip sit outside the ear canal, allowing you to remain aware of your surroundings while listening to music, podcasts, or taking calls. Sennheiser says the earbuds are aimed at people who want situational awareness throughout the day.

Under the hood, the earbuds pack 12mm dynamic drivers, support SBC, AAC, and LDAC codecs, and work with Google Fast Pair. Users can also customize the sound profile through Sennheiser’s Smart Control Plus app, which includes a five-band equalizer and shareable presets.
Elsewhere, the ACCENTUM Clip earbuds are IP54 rated for dust and sweat resistance, weigh just 6.8g each, and offer up to nine hours of playback on a single charge. The company claims a quick 10-minute charge can provide up to two hours of listening time.
What’s perhaps more interesting than the specs is where these earbuds are launching. Sennheiser says the ACCENTUM Clip will be available in Canada starting July 23 for CAD $269.95 (USD ~$191) through its website and Best Buy.
The company also notes that the earbuds will be available in parts of Central and South America, but there’s no mention of a US launch. While Sennheiser hasn’t explained the decision, it comes at a time when many consumer electronics brands are grappling with shifting US tariff policies and import costs. Whether that’s the reason here remains unclear, but for now, American buyers are being left on the sidelines.
