Samsung introduces new Sound Tower speakers built for parties
Samsung has announced its latest Sound Tower speakers at IFA 2025, aiming to bring big sound and bold lighting to your next gathering. With the ST50F and ST40F, Samsung is getting in on the party box action, tapping into the growing popularity of portable party speakers. These models are designed for both indoor and outdoor use and come packed with features like customizable audio profiles, reactive LED lighting, and portable-friendly builds.
The larger ST50F delivers up to 240 watts of output through dual 6.5-inch woofers and dome tweeters, while the smaller ST40F offers 160 watts with slightly smaller drivers. Both speakers support multiple sound modes, including Stadium and Outdoor, and they also offer bass tuning with “Deep”, “Punchy”, and “Gentle” settings. Samsung says its Waveguide tech helps widen its left-to-right separation, but we’ll need to get these into our testing lab to see how well that holds up.

Battery life seems promising on paper, with up to 18 hours for the ST50F and 12 for the ST40F. Both models come with IPX4 water resistance and support for stereo pairing or group playback via Auracast. The ST50F even has wheels and a telescopic handle, while the ST40F sticks with a simple integrated grip.
There’s also a big focus on lighting. Samsung’s Party Lights Plus system includes five mood presets and six lighting effects that react to your music. You can control it all through the Sound Tower app, and even plug in a guitar or fire up karaoke mode if you’re feeling it. We’ll need to put the Sound Tower through its paces to see if it delivers on all this, but it looks like Samsung is chasing the all-in-one party speaker crowd pretty hard.
