The verdict
The Alesis Nitro Ultimate is a worthy companion for beginner and intermediate players wanting an electronic drum kit to hone their craft. The toms feel robust, the mesh heads play nicely, and the hi-hat control is an improvement on the Alesis Nitro Pro. However, its questionable cymbal design, unintuitive drum module, and middling sound quality may make it harder to justify the higher price tag.
✓Liked: Mesh heads, Comprehensive metronome, Robust toms, Good kit customization
✕Could be better: Hi-hat stand not included, Unintuitive drum module, Limited MIDI mapping, Questionable cymbal design

Owner reviews are not paid for, not solicited from specific owners, and not rewritten by us: at most we proofread typos, which is shown on the review’s own page and which the author can undo. The commission SoundGuys may earn on this page comes from retail links, never from owner reviews.
