Plantronics announces BackBeat 500 series with 18 hours of battery life
Wireless headphones are quite popular among consumers. You now have a new pair to choose from, as Plantronics has recently announced the new BackBeat 500 Series. The on-ear Bluetooth stereo headphones feature 40 mm drivers and a bass tube design.
The ear cushions are made from memory foam that should be quite comfortable and will help isolate sound at the same time. The headphones have on-ear controls that allow you to quickly control your music and can also be used for calls. Of course, there’s a wideband-enabled mic on board as well.
You can stream up to 10 meters or 33 feet from compatible mobile devices with Bluetooth 4.1 connectivity. The battery is good for around 18 hours of listening and talk time and once it runs out of juice, you have the option of plugging the headphones into your device with the included analog cable.
The BackBeat 500 Series also offer what the company calls a DeepSleep hibernation mode, which helps maintain battery charge for up to six months when the headphones are either out of range or left on.
The headphones are already available to purchase from the company’s official online store. They will also make their way to authorized Plantronics retailers soon. Available in white, gray, and dark gray, they can be yours for $79.99. To get the product, simply click the button below.
