Creative Labs show off Muvo 2 and Muvo 2c at IFA

Two new sub-$100 speakers is always good news.

Creative Labs has their hands in most areas of consumer technology, but we’ve always been impressed with their Bluetooth speakers. At IFA in Berlin they just showed off two brand new speaker dubbed the MUVO 2 and MUVO 2C. The MUVO 2 is the larger of the two with the 2c being the more pocket-friendly option. That said, both are still really portable. Unlike the Roar series we previously reviewed that were more like digital swiss army knives, these speakers were designed for being on the go.

The MUVO and MUVO 2c are small, lightweight, and have a way more affordable price point than their larger brethren. In a press release Creative says that they were made “to provide today’s smartphone and tablet users with a small but powerful Bluetooth speaker solution that they can take with them just about anywhere.” This includes an IP66 splash-proof shell on both models, a micro SD card slot to play music without a source device, speakerphone functionality, and something Creative calls “Wireless Link”. This allows you to connect two of them together for double the sound. Judging by Creative’s previous speakers, these will likely sound good as well. As you can tell both models are fairly similar, but there are a few slight differences in specs.
