Anker has officially unveiled the Soundcore Nebula X1 Pro, a portable all-in-one 4K projector and sound system designed for outdoor entertainment. Slated to launch on Kickstarter September 22, the X1 Pro blends a 3,500-lumen triple-laser projector with high-powered speakers, including dual 80W subwoofers and wireless surround sound, all packed into a rugged, wheeled chassis.
The X1 Pro builds on the core technology of the Nebula X1 projector—retaining its Dolby Vision support, Google TV interface, and motorized lens system—but integrates a new acoustic setup that aims to deliver a full 7.1.4 Dolby Atmos surround sound experience, a first for portable projectors, according to Anker.
At the heart of the audio system is a 160W floating subwoofer, housed on an internal suspension to prevent image distortion from vibration. Two detachable 80W soundbar speakers fold out from the projector’s body to enhance stereo imaging at the front of the viewing area, while 40W wireless satellite speakers can be positioned at the rear. Users can also switch the unit into Bluetooth speaker mode for music-only playback.
The X1 Pro includes IP43-rated resistance to light rain and dust. Despite its 72.4-pound weight, the device is fitted with a retractable handle and wheels, similar to the larger JBL partyboxes, making it a portable cinema solution. Anker positions the device under its Soundcore brand, emphasizing a stronger focus on surround sound audio than its earlier Nebula-branded projectors.
Pricing is expected to range between $4,000 and $5,000, with early backers on Kickstarter receiving up to $500 off by placing a $100 deposit. Retail availability is projected for March 2026.
