The new AirPods Pro 2 with USB-C are $50 off on pre-order
With the iPhone 15 switching from Lightning to USB-C, Apple is doing the same with the AirPods Pro 2, and the new model of the popular buds is due to hit the shelves later this week. Best Buy already has an excellent AirPods Pro 2 deal available that can save you $50 when you pre-order.
There’s no change to the true wireless earbuds in this upgrade, but you are getting the USB-C connectivity on the MagSafe charging case that brings them more in line with the rest of the tech world. The 20% markdown is about as good as any offer we’ve ever seen on the original variant of the AirPods Pro 2.
The 2nd Gen Apple AirPods Pro impressed us with its enhanced active noise canceling (ANC) capability, reducing external noise by 20-30 dB. For iPhone users, Apple-exclusive features like Spatial Audio personalization and battery life optimization are also key attractions. The earbuds and their case are IPX4-rated, making them splash-resistant, and a speaker on the charging case can aid in locating the earbuds through the Find My app. The AirPods Pro 2 also introduces swipe gestures for volume control — a feature absent in its predecessor. The Adaptive EQ feature dynamically adjusts the low and mid frequencies based on the earbuds’ fit, ensuring optimal audio playback. Battery-wise, they deliver almost six hours of playtime with ANC activated, and the case extends this by providing an extra 24 hours of listening time.
The pre-order period will end in a couple of days, so don’t miss the AirPods Pro 2 deal if you’re ready to upgrade.
