Jabra Rox on sale for $79 through the Microsoft store
Roughly a year ago we reviewed the Jabra Rox bluetooth headphones and were pretty impressed. They even made our list for the Best Workout Earbuds. Not only do they sound good but they have a great build quality as well. The Microsoft store is currently having a sale where you can get them for $50 off of retail price, which drops them down to $79. They were a pretty solid buy at regular price so the decrease in dollar signs can only add to the value.
The Jabra Rox have some pretty nifty features and solid specs even when compared to other wireless headphones. In regards to connectivity they have both Bluetooth 4.0 and NFC pairing capabilities. If you’re more of the active type it’s worth noting that they also come with an IP52 certification to protect against rain or sweat. They even come with wing tips to help get a better grip on your ear while moving. At only about 5 hours, they definitely don’t have the best battery life we’ve seen in a pair of headphones. However, they do have a unique power saving option which puts them into stand-by mode anytime the two earbuds connect to each other magnetically. So you can let them hang loose around your neck when you’re not using them and as long as they clip together you can save some juice. Pretty cool.
Jabra also offers an app for both iOS and Android called CONNECT that enables the Dolby Digital Plus feature along with some other tweaks. For instance, it has an EQ that lets you fine tune your listening experience, though the setting will only apply to what plays via the app. If you need a new pair of workout headphones or simply want to try something new, definitely grab a pair for yourself soon as the sale ends on Saturday, April 25th.
